The following is something I created after experimenting with displacement maps as well as trying to create the look of rain on a window. I made two different versions. The basic animation and technique is the same, just different backgrounds.

I want to state that The Weather Channel did not ask me to make these and I did not make any money off of these. However if anyone from The Weather Channel is checking these out and like them, I'd be more than happy to create something like this for you!

I uploaded quicktime video instead of flash video because of a lot of artifacting in the flash video version. Thus, the file size is larger than usual. It shouldn't take that long for it to load, but there might be a delay before it starts playing.
